We were asked by a client to create a partition between the main factory floor and maintenance workshop area. The steel partition needed to be 3.5m high and span 18m with a personnel door at one end. We designed a very cost effective solution. After our clients approval it was fabricated and installed within 2 weeks. Installation took less than 2 days. This particular factory runs a 24/7operation and we were able to install while the factory ran at full capacity without disruption.

This was an interesting project. The pre-existing concrete block bunkers were being used to contain processed plastic granules from a recycling process. Each bunker measured 12m wide x 10m deep and there were 4 in the block. Follow an inspection by the Environment Agency, our client was instructed to cover the bunkers or face a hefty fine. After checking that planning permission was not required a design was produced and agreed along with necessary structural calculations. Due to the irregularity in the concrete block work (pre-existing) most of the canopy had to be fabricated on-site. This job was completed within 8 weeks of our first site visit. Our team was on site for 14 days in total and the recycling plant ran as normal during the project.
